For those of you who have never seen an ice storm in the midwest, here is what our backyard trees still look like 3 days after the storm. The entire city is still encased in ice - every blade of grass, power line, and stop sign. Right now it is -1 outside with a wind chill of -24, so I don't think it is going to melt anytime soon!

We had an ice storm last year, and although they aren't fun to drive in and very dangerous all thogether...you have to admit...it's so beautifull and everything looks like glass.
WOW! it looks great! We are covered in snow up here. Peter and I were thinking this has to be our snowiest winter in IL for the 4 years we have been here.
Kill me now! I would die in such cold weather. I am such a desert rat now.
