And this, my friends, is why I don't blog more often
This is for all the other parents out there who feel like they can't keep up. Our house starts out every (well, most) mornings pretty decently clean. (At least as far as clutter goes - don't think I dust or vacuum every day...or even every week). And by the end of the day, despite my best efforts, it looks like this. And these pictures don't even do it justice. These are just small sections of a few rooms. My pride stopped short of letting me post pictures of the entire kitchen or living room...or the bedrooms for that matter.

Despite our seemingly constant craziness, we are enjoying the Christmas season. The kids love the Christmas tree and we go downstairs (yes, I admit that I put it downstairs so I wouldn't have to save the tree from the kids every 5 minutes) and sing Christmas carols. They love to shake bells or maracas or dance around while we sing. So cute. This week I taught them to say "Ho, ho, ho" and they will say it to random people at church or in the store.

The ward Christmas party was amazing - we seriously have the best activities committee in the Church. Neither Megan or Colin would sit on Santa's lap but that was not surprising. At least they were smiling at him instead of crying which is actually what I expected.

Those pictures could have been my house. It's making me crazy. I don't care about dust... I dust twice a year, but the clutter. OH my!!! and the dishes. I can't keep up!
Merry Christmas! Miss you.
when your kids get older they wont remember the mess. They will just remember what a good mom you are. Seriously you are one of the best moms in the world.
It's good to see the honesty every once in a while. I know I try to filter out the mess so that the pictures on my blog look clean, but I am patiently awaiting the days for a chore chart. I'm almost there. Then at least you can get some help with the cleaning up, and not just help with the mess making.
Very honest entry; I love it. I can't believe how hard it is sometimes to keep up with the kids and their messes.
I hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas and much joy to you for the new year!
I'm with you on keeping up--the laundry has me going crazy. Why bother with dressers and closets when the clothes just stay folded in the laundry room? At least the kids know where to look when they run out of pajamas or jeans! And who is that skinny Santa??
No shame sister! I love that you put it out there for all moms to see and know that we are all alike and we can't keep everything spotless all the time. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
