New pool

It was finally warm enough yesterday to blow up the swimming pool we bought for Megan. It has a fun slide and a sprinkler inside that sprays water on you as you slide down (we didn't turn it on yetserday, though). Here's a little video we took of Megan having fun in the freezing cold water!

3 months old

Colin turned 3 months this week and it is hard to believe how fast the time is flying. It may be partly due to how fast he is growing. He weighed in this week at 15 pounds and measured 24 1/2 inches. Megan did not weigh 15 lbs. until she was 8 months and was 24 1/2 inches at 5 months, so this is all new territory for us. We could not believe it when we had to buy Colin size 3 diapers a few weeks ago...Megan is still in size 4.

Here is a cute video of our "little man" making some fun giggling and cooing sounds at 3 months .

Pictures

So the blog won't be empty for the first few excited readers, I thought I'd just start out by posting a bunch of fun pictures we've taken over the past few months.

Colin's blessing

Colin was blessed the last Sunday in March and we had so much fun with lots of family here. He was blessed in the same outfit that Peter was blessed in and looked adorable.

So cute!!

Iowa City

At the beginning of April, we took a trip to watch General Conference with Peter's sister Melissa and her family. Peter's sister Robyn came too with her son Brayden and her boyfriend Mark.

Jonathan and Allie's wedding

We spent a week in Utah to attend the wedding of my younger brother Jonathan and Allie Berrett. They are such a cute couple and we were so glad to finally meet Allie!

Auntie Amy and Colin enjoy the luncheon

My brother-in-law Kevin sure likes Magleby's breadsticks

At the reception

Megan became good friends with some of Allie's younger brothers during the wedding and they nicknamed her "Smiles." During Jonathan and Allie's dance, one of her brothers asked Megan to dance. After a while, another brother cut in. Peter and I were laughing pretty hard and wondering what life is going to be like in 14 years when she can actually date.

April Showers

During the week we were in Utah, I went to three showers!

The first shower was a bridal shower for Allie two nights before her wedding.

My cousins Angie and Kaley are great babysitters

Later that week after the wedding, we had a baby shower for my sister Melissa who is expecting a boy in July!

Megan always loves to help open presents

The third shower was a quadruple baby shower with some of my best friends from high school! Danielle and I have both had babies in the last few months, and Kathleen and Lisa I. are due soon!

Peer Pressure

Well, I am finally submitting to peer pressure and starting a blog. I'm hoping it will be a fun way to chronicle our family adventures and to keep in touch with friends and family. I cannot promise consistency, but I will do my best to post often! Enjoy!
